  Finding Your Supported Independent Living Service Provider in NSW Supported Independent Living (SIL)  is a type of support that helps NDIS participants over the age of 18 to move out of their parent's home and live with other housemates who also have the same type of funding. If you get approved after SIL is found to be ‘reasonable and necessary’ in your case, an NDIS funded support worker will help you with your daily tasks at your new accommodation. This includes personal care, household management, taking care of medication and assistance with going out of the house to partake in community activities. But this support does not fund your rent or groceries.
